CAN - Counselling and career guidance for Adults to value Neurodiversity
- 2026-2028
- EU
- Active
Neurodivergent people often face barriers in accessing career guidance and lifelong learning, as many standardised models do not fully recognise diverse soft skills, learning styles, and individual potential.
The CAN project aims to:
– strengthen equitable access to guidance and training;
– support informed choices around upskilling and reskilling;
– recognise personal, social, and learning competence;
– promote more inclusive work environments that value neurodiversity.
HOW
The project is grounded in valuing neurodiversity, recognising talents, skills, and different cognitive styles as resources for personal, professional, and organisational growth.
It takes a person-centred approach, supporting individuals in recognising their strengths, transferable skills, and areas for development, and in navigating learning and career choices. At the same time, the project engages companies and services to foster more inclusive and diversity-aware learning and working environments.
WHAT
The project will develop and pilot:
– a guidance model based on identifying individual strengths;
– personalised upskilling and reskilling pathways;
– tools to support SMEs in developing inclusive organisational practices;
– competence recognition systems aligned with European frameworks.
The CAN project has published a Call for Tender for an External Evaluation and Impact Assessment Expert.
Applications are open until 27 July 2026.
