The integration between Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)) represents one of the most interesting and strategic frontiers for the construction and urban planning sector. Within the Erasmus+ BIRGIT project, we have identified and developed the necessary skills for technicians, businesses and public administrations in this area, creating innovative training courses through the contribution of an international partnership with a Swedish leader.
Attend the final conference!
An event designed for technical training professionals, experts in the construction sector, designers, officials and technicians of public bodies who wish to explore the opportunities of BIM-GIS integration and contribute to the definition of the next evolutions in the sector.

During the event, the BIRGIT project will be presented through an overview of the activities carried out, underlining how the project has helped to develop fundamental skills in the integration between Building Information Models (BIM) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and sharing the materials and training courses developed during the project.
The heart of the event will be animated by the speeches of two important Keynote Speakers:
- Engineer Anna Moreno, founder of iBIMI and representative of BuildingSmart International, “BIM as an opportunity for growth and not as a legal obligation: the real obstacle is the lack of skills.”
- Architect Giovanni Perego, BIM Technical Process Analyst from One Team, “The integration between BIM and GIS for infrastructure sustainability: Open territorial databases.”
These speeches will be followed by a moment dedicated to questions and interventions from the public, stimulating dialogue and direct discussion with the speakers.
Following, a round table moderated by Sylvia Liuti will bring together experts from the sector for a multidisciplinary discussion. Among the participants:
- Architect Virna Venerucci Umbra Foundation for Architecture,
- Engineer Gabriele De Micheli, director of the Territorial Government and Smart City Area of the Municipality of Perugia,
- Engineer Fabio Bianconi, University of Perugia,
- Dr. Laura Galli, coordinator of the BIM course at ITS Umbria,
- Engineer Chiara Montagnini, BIM Coordinator and trainer of the BIRGIT project.
The day will end with a space dedicated to networking, accompanied by a final aperitif, where participants can meet, exchange ideas and create new professional synergies.
Join us for an event that combines inspiration, training and opportunity!
