MCdV Art Academy

McDV ART ACADEMY is a regeneration and innovation project in the small village of Monte Castello di Vibio through the redevelopment of public spaces, the restoration of the historical-architectural heritage, together with the activation of business and commercial initiatives that create employment effects on the territory. The project is funded by the Ministry of Culture with PNRR funds, within the framework of Measure 2 “Regeneration of small cultural sites, cultural, religious and rural heritage”, Investment 2.1: “Attractiveness of historic villages”, funded by the European Union — NextGenerationEU.

Objective

McDV ART ACADEMY is a project that aims to:

• enhance the landscape, 360° views and light;
• Take advantage of the partnerships and professionalism already present in the area (International Center for The Arts but also the important relationship network of foreign citizens present) and activate new ones.
• Encourage the prolonged stay of students and artists in the village, so as to allow the economic sustainability of activities and services;
• systematize what is already present in the territory.

Activity

The project involves the activation of a strategy of regeneration and retraining of the village through:

1. Re-functionalization of spaces so that they can become classrooms, study rooms or exhibition spaces
2. ‍Promotion of new housing and creation of support services for those who choose McDV for their artistic training Strengthening the Reception System: Creation of the”Academy Heart”
3. ‍Storytelling by McDV, through the creation of a new Brand Identity that enhances the above and attracts new Partnerships with Academies, Design Centers, Cultural and Creative Companies, from all over the world.
4. ‍Involvement of citizens and local businesses in the creation of a system for the promotion of tourism and culture in the village
5. community business development and development of business ideas 

The role of form.Action

Forma.azione participates in the project as Partner engaged in the following activities:

1. Support for the creation of a Community Enterprise

• Training courses for 10 young people for the creation and management of community businesses: theoretical training (fundraising, business management, public notice research and planning)
• Traineeship for young people for the creation and management of community businesses (to promote contamination and knowledge of local businesses)

2. Initiatives to promote temporary housing linked to Universities, Training Schools...: Creation of McDV's Brand Identity as Art Academy

• Communication campaign and communication campaign design and management for n. 36 months
• Brand identity and coordinated graphics

3. Initiatives/activities for education, awareness and information aimed at the public and in particular at local communities and young people.

• Basic training courses on hospitality, technological innovation, entrepreneurship and English for the population and operators
