FOCUS
Focus is a 36-months project involving 10 partners from Slovenia, Italy, Greece, Spain, Cyprus and Lithuania with the aim to improve the knowledge, skills and competences of foreign languages teachers, in teaching to children (6-12 yearsold) with learning difficulties, by using Digital Game-Based Learning method and to strengthen their soft and transversal skills regarding the inclusion of learners with learning difficulties.

Objectives
Focus is an Erasmus+ initiative for promoting a comprehensive approach to language teaching and learning, supporting teachers, school leaders and other teaching professions and addressing digital transformation through development of digital readiness, resilience, capacity. The idea behind this initiative isto offer comprehensive digital solutions (Digital Educational Games) and e-learning solutions (Online Training Program), as to enhance more innovative, collaborative approach to learning, more enjoyable learning and teaching experience
Activities
To achieve these goals, the partnership intends to:
- Raise awareness on the issue of inclusive teaching of foreign languages to children with learning disabilities
- Starting from identifying real “case studies” and “best practices” of innovative methods and tools in teaching foreign languages to children with learning difficulties for the development of a multilingual Digital Database, develop a series of original Digital Educational Games for foreign languages teachers to use when teaching children with LDs and an interactive Online Training Program on how to teach FLs to children with LDs.
All tools will be multilingual (En, Sl, Gr, Es, It, Lt)
Results
Concrete results that will be produced:
- "FOCUS in Practice" Digital Database, aiming to provide foreignlanguage teachers with the best tools and practices for teaching children withlearning difficulties. It aligns with the priority of “Supporting teachers,school leaders and other teaching professions
- Digital Educational Games, which will be a series of original Digital Educational Games suitable for the age of the students (6-12 years old), which foreign language teachers will be able to use in the classroom
- "FOCUS in Foreign Languages" Online Training Program, to train foreign language teachers to identify learning difficulties, teach children with learning difficulties how to learn, and become familiar with the Digital Game-Based Learning (DGBL) method and how to apply it when teaching children with learning difficulties.
